Setting our eyes on God (part 1)

Where is the meaning of life?

What is the purpose of us mere human beings?

Why do we try to find ourselves in others?

Is it possible for us to fight the very cells of our bodies, to go against the very destiny that's been set for us?

Who are we? And why are we? 

Why are we fighting for a meaning?

Why do we feel the need to matter? 

Hey!

Have you ever thought anything like that, or at least questioned yourself with one of those questions above?

I have also questioned myself with one or many of those questions. If you are like me, probably you didn’t have an answer either.

Well, these were the questions that a dear friend of mine shared with me. These questions kept coming back and forth and were bouncing in my head for a long, looong time. One day I shared some of them with another friend and he said – “WOW, hmm where to start?”  

I thought to myself, – “Man, anyone that could answer these questions would be actually answering the meaning, and the why of the human race!”

I had no idea where to start. I knew that we were made by God and for Him, but for some reason just knowing that stuff won’t make anyone to find the meaning, fulfillment and power that they want for their lives magically, not even to those so-called Christians who think they know God!

During a Journey that I took with the Lord to search my heart, one man shared something so shocking that opened my eyes to a whole new perspective! He asked -"When does fear come to my life?” (When fear comes then depression, anxiety and hate also come).

I thought to myself -"hmm. . . when something bad happened to me? At the same time everybody started to share their thoughts or what was their perspective about that question, then while we were saying all sorts of stupid ideas he said: -"when we take our eyes off from God!" It was hard for me to understand it at that moment since it was a new concept that I had never heard before yet for some reason it was making a lot of sense.

Let’s just think about it for a moment. Why most of us if not all of us are not afraid of getting our Ferrari or Lamborghini stolen, scratched, or wrecked?  That’s right, because we do not own one, we are not thinking what could happen to it, do I need a better insurance? Or stuff like that, these kind of thoughts stay just out of our minds. The opposite happens when we focus so much in “what I have,” “what I want,” “what I like” and all kinds of stuff related to “ME.” The result of being so focused on all these things means that the true main focus of ours is “Myself" then we will fear, instead of not being afraid.

The more focused that we are on what we want, the more afraid we will become. This applies to us, no matter who we are, what we do, where we live, what religion we are, or what we believe. If you don’t believe me just try to think of your worst fear and track it to its root, ask yourself why am I afraid of this or that. Trust me you’ll be amazed. Most of the time along with fear come anxiety, depression and so many other bad stresses. 

I am always trying to keep this principle very clear on my head, and not let it get blurry with time.

After pondering for a few days in the questions that we saw in the beginning of the post and this principle a lot of dots started to connect.  

Taking our eyes off from God doesn’t bring just fear, but also depression, forfeit, failure, etc.  These are things that more of the 98% of the world's population face every day, even Christians. But why? Why do we try to find ourselves in others? Why are we fighting against the very destiny that has been set for us? Who are we and why are we? What is the purpose of us mere human beings?

Talking to Dad

I was talking to my dad a couple of days ago about random stuff, so I decided that it was a good moment to bring this questions up, his answer amazed me, He said: -"I’m glad you asked that because the Lord was showing me something related to that, this morning and last week. 

Before telling you what my dad said, let’s try to create the worst scenario. This will help us a little bit more to understand all this stuff.

Let’s think about a guy. Now, let’s say that this fellow is rich and is super happy and has a big family, everything that anybody could wish, this guy had it! 

Now, let's be mean with this guy, let’s try to make him want to die! What do we need to do for this to happen? We have to take everything that this guy has! we can steal some of it, we can destroy it, burn it, etc.

Is this bad enough? Naah I don’t think so! Let’s do something more, Now, we can kill his sons and daughters ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME. This is not good enough, our goal is to make him curse GOD! Let’s give him a decease so severe and painful that he would rather choose to never be born.   

If you were this guy right here, how would you feel? I think you would have more and harder questions than the ones in the beginning of the post, right? How would you feel towards God? Where did all this questions come from anyways? What’s the main point of them? what are they based on? 

Remember the talk that I had with my dad? well, he said: -"The Lord gave me last week Isaiah 40, and son, before thinking about anything else or yourself, just admire how great God is" 

I went ahead and read the chapter (Isaiah 40), I was sited on my chair when I was reading it, otherwise I would've fallen to the floor. 

Isaiah 40,

6 “All people are like grass,

    and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.

7 The grass withers and the flowers fall,

    because the breath of the Lord blows on them.

    Surely the people are grass.

8 The grass withers and the flowers fall… 

Wow so where are we in this passage? You are a person right? Then we are like grass, and the best things we can do is wither like flowers!

… but the word of our God endures forever.

Wow, wait a second! What happens to the Word of GOD? that's right endures forever.

You may say,

-"Well yes He’s God, but hey my problems, my issues, my life is big too, Does He even know what are my problems? Does He even know anything? I need answers to live! He doesn’t even know what’s best for me. I do! He might be a good 'counselor' for others but he messed up with me. Why am I here if I’m worthless? Why I can’t do anything right? Why did my Dad leave? Why did got let that ugly thing happened to me? Why do I look the way I do? Why do they get married and I just can't?  He didn't even make me in the shape I wanted!. Etc."

Me, me, me, me. That’s the problem, we just think too much in our selves. Trust me, there are a lot of questions, but God has more answers. He first wants us to trust in Him, then we will be able to see His plan. Since He is higher than us, He has a better perspective and sees the way out of the labyrinth.       

   

How BIG God is, How INSIGNIFICANT I am.

To have an idea where we are and where is God, let’s keep reading Isaiah 40.

 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,

  12  or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?

Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,

    or weighed the mountains on the scales

    and the hills in a balance?

13 Who can fathom the Spirit[d] of the Lord,

    or instruct the Lord as his counselor?

14 Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him,

    and who taught him the right way?

Who was it that taught him knowledge,

    or showed him the path of understanding?   v12-14

   

He actually DOES KNOW more than we can even comprehend. 

Why are we even questioning God? Who are we that are putting ourselves as equal to God? Does He really need to answer those questions of us? does He? Really? Are we even important that He should "spend" some time listening to us? 

You may say- "Well, yes sort of, He made us for some reason, we have the right to be listened by Him!

Are you sure? Let’s see what He says: 

Behold, the nations are as a drop in a bucket,

And are counted as the small dust on the scales;

Look, He lifts up the isles as a very little thing.

16And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn,

Nor its beasts sufficient for a burnt offering.

17All nations before Him are as nothing,

And they are counted by Him less than nothing and worthless.  v15-17

WOW! He just showed us that we are nothing and no one that He should listen to us.

The dust on a scale is nothing, when you are weighting something you don’t say yes its 4 pounds and 3 particles of dust, no! You do not even value dust! Its something worthless! 

When you see just a drop of water in a bucket and someone asks you, -what is inside that bucket? your answer is "nothing," right? 

Have you not known?

Have you not heard?

Has it not been told you from the beginning?

Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?

22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,

And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,

Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,

And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

23 He brings the princes to nothing;

He makes the judges of the earth useless. v21-23

After I read this I found a lot of teachings that the Lord was showing me, First I cannot be God's adviser and I'm less than dust, not even the earth can be compared to Him.

So, where do my problems come after all, if they are meaningless? How do I solve them? 

1st. Our problems come because we are not looking how BIG His is, and instead we are looking how "big" we are.

Do you remember the guy that we wanted to make him curse God and the day he was born? well that history actually happened, his name was Job and he had a lot of questions and demands towards God.

 Here are the words That God used to help this guy to take his eyes off his own life and perspective and put them on God and His PERFECT will to his life.

This is what He told Job: 

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said:

2 “Who is this who darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?

3 Now prepare yourself like a man;
I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.
5 Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?

6 To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone,

7 When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

8 “Or who shut in the sea with doors,
When it burst forth and issued from the womb;

9 When I made the clouds its garment,
And thick darkness its swaddling band;

10 When I fixed My limit for it,
And set bars and doors;

11 When I said,
‘This far you may come, but no farther,
And here your proud waves must stop!’

12 “Have you commanded the morning since your days began,
And caused the dawn to know its place,

13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth,
And the wicked be shaken out of it?

14 It takes on form like clay under a seal,
And stands out like a garment.

15 From the wicked their light is withheld,
And the upraised arm is broken.

16 “Have you entered the springs of the sea?
Or have you walked in search of the depths?

17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you?
Or have you seen the doors of the shadow of death?

18 Have you comprehended the breadth of the earth?

Tell Me, if you know all this.

Then in chapter 40 verses 3-5 Job answers to God: 

“Behold, I am vile;

What shall I answer You?

I lay my hand over my mouth.

5 Once I have spoken, but I will not answer;

Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.” 

Then the Lord kept on showing all His wonders and powerful deeds in chapter 40 and 41 to make Job answer this: 

Then Job answered the Lord and said:

2 “I know that You can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.

3 You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’
Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,
Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

4 Listen, please, and let me speak;
You said, ‘I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’

5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
But now my eye sees You.

6 Therefore I abhor myself,

And repent in dust and ashes.”

And we all know that everything that came upon Job at first it was the thing he was afraid of the most! “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” (Job 3:25).

Do you remember where the fears (and everything bad) come from? They come from taking our eyes from God and putting them on ourselves!

The signal that we have taken our eyes from God is not only that we have many fears, it's by having at least just ONE fear!

This topic is so long that I had to split it in two parts.

In the next post we will talk about:

1.     How to answer those questions, in God’s own way, not ours!

2.     Why are we urged to take our eyes off from God and put them on the forbidden fruit? We will have some answers in what happened with  Eve.

My Chicago Time. Time to say THANKS!

Hi there! The Lord works in so many good ways in our lives. I was watching some pictures from the time that I spent in Chicago and a lot of teachings from God and good memories came to my mind!

Down Town Chicago!!

I want to go back a few years ago when I was able to stay in OakBrook, IL. The Lord used so many things that I was not expecting He would use to teach me a lesson. Boy oh boy! If He did? Not just once but multiple times, and I would like to share some of those with you, hoping that God will use them as well to talk to your life, get closer to Him, and help you to CONQUER THOSE GIANTS!

I got to stay at colonial, that’s a beautiful building where I stayed.

One day I was walking through a path through the woods that would take me to the place I was volunteering back then. Yeah, yeah, I know you’re trying to picture the path in your head right now, but I’m going to make it easy on yourself…

Now that you have an idea of how it looks like let’s continue shall we?

(Just for the record, you will see a lot of these conversations that I had with God in my spirit like the one in the “Can a Guy be Modest?” post, so don’t freak out, ok?

To give you a little bit of a background I was going through some difficult things and I wasn’t feeling the most grateful. While I was heading to where I worked the Lord started to say to me, -Give thanks for every detail you see!-

Without understanding I decided to just “obey” and give thanks for every little detail and stuff that crossed my vision line. After a few seconds of doing it I began to see all the marvelous things that we come across every day and we miss because we don't take the time to thank Him for them, even the leaves in the ground!!

That path is about 100+ yards long. After I came out of the path I was overwhelmed for seeing a bunch of great and marvelous things that I ALWAYS miss. In that moment I just felt a huge urge to look down, when I did I saw the grass and it was wet, I was going to start complaining because I was going mess up my new shoes. He said with a still, gentle voice -just give thanks for the grass.- Seriously, after giving thanks, God surprised me with something beautiful, just look at this!

After I took my eyes off of the grass I felt so guilty for not thanking God for EVRYTHING, even though He commanded me to do so! “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (I Thessalonians 5:18).

I was just so focused on me that I didn’t even realize that I had new shoes that He had allowed me to buy. That day I made a commitment with God that I was going to give thanks in everything, even if I didn’t understand the situation I was going through. From that same day I realized that I had been so ungrateful to Him for so many years.

We often forget to recall His words:

 “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” (Mathew 6:26).

"See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?" (Mathew 6:28-30).

Why are we not listening to Him, has He ever lied to us so that we don't trust Him? Why are worrying about what shall we eat or drink or wear? or if we are ever going to get married?

Why are we running after these things? "For the pagans run after all these things" (Mathew 6:32).

Why are we not trusting in His perfect will to our lives?

Because we have taken our eyes from God and set them on what we think is best. He created us! He knows what we need, even what we want! Trust me HE KNOWS what is BEST for us, HE REALLY DOES!

"God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do" (Ephesians 2:10). (I used an actual language translation so we could see clearly what He meant)

WOW! He made plans for you even before the creation of the World. Can you imagine being in the heart of God, preparing the Best plans for your life and to bring His Kingdom to Earth using you! what did we do to get that privilege? I mean this goes far beyond of our human understanding! 

and He says to us: 

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself" (Mathew 6:34).

Don't try to be successful on your own! Don't try to get the approval of men! Don’t try to find in college your fulfillment in life! Don't force things so you can get married! Don't do it please, or you will start to fear the future! PLEASE! When we put that before God’s will in our lives it is when we are taking our eyes from God and setting us on our selves (that brings fear to our lives), THAT'S iniquity!  

(I'm not saying that to get married or wanting to get married is bad, I have seen so many people wanting to get married so bad that they stop listening to God because His plans do not fit their “idea” of marriage and move on to whatever plans they have, to later find that marriage was not what they were expecting.)

  

The Bible says Jesus came to die for our Iniquities, we are again saying -you know God, I'm more important than you! I didn't even ask you to come and save me- and you are going to say to me -wait I've never said that- Sometimes we honor Him with our mouths but our hearts are far away from Him, and I'm afraid that I've done that so so many times before!

So YES, you and I have said that! that -we are more important than Him!- how? With my acts, putting my desires first instead of His perfect will in my life! THAT'S INIQUITY! 

And He, with His great mercy and abundant love says to us: 

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Mathew 6:33 

In other words: my dearly and beloved son/daughter, for whom I died, take your eyes away from your desires and earthly lusts, and put them on the perfect plans I designed for you before I made the universe! Seek me as the first thing in the morning, dress yourself with the commands I gave you, rule your life with them, and I'll show myself powerful to you!  

and all these things will be given to you as well! 

(God says this in other words in Joshua chapter 1, I hope we can get 

chance in the future to talk about this more closely)

It was amazing how God can teach you something very deep just by thanking Him for the smallest unseen details! (even for skunks haha, but thats another story that I’ll tell you later)

My amazing Sister!

She is something that I will thank God for, everyday until I die =)

I'd like to challenge you to give thanks for everything from now on, and you will see God in a total different way and with a huge new, but beautiful perspective!

Can a Guy be modest?

This morning I was watching a video that a lady shared about girls’ modesty on the way they dress. I really appreciate and not just me but most of the guys that want to live a godly life when a lady decides to dress in a modest way to help us men!

One day I was talking to a lady that is like my big sister and she asked me, 

-"What do we girls need to do or not to do to help you guys?" 

The question got into my mind and stood there for a couple of days. She also mentioned that she was taking care of her clothes and even her make up, and guys kept on bothering her, the only way out for her was not to talk or not to be where those dudes were more than necessary, even if they could think she was being rude.

So I thought "Well she is doing as much as she can to help us guys not to get into sinful thoughts, and yet guys keep on falling". I asked myself “if she’s doing all this what’s going on? Why is it not working?” A thought hit my brain so hard I had to sit down! 

We have to be committed first! 

That is one of the reasons why we cannot conquer lust, and it is because we are not committed to be a victor!!! We haven't decided to really live in purity!!! I've been trying to find any information videos or audios that would tell me how to conquer this part of lustful thoughts instead of just blaming everything on the ladies, and the only thing that I've found are thousands videos all over the internet about how girls should dress, Oh My Word! but what about us? what do we need to do? Actually is the 100%! We guys have to do the 100% of the work and not try to divide responsibility between each party because if we just start making the other party responsible of our own work, then every time a girl does not dress in a "proper" way we would be condemned to sin, without any chance of victory. NO! When God said you are more than a conqueror through Him that loves you, HE MEANT IT! we are putting ourselves as victims when we first should recognize that we are sinning against God then against those ladies that we see in a lustful way. We have to change the way we see ladies in a 180º way! It is not their fault if we lust after them, it is our own FAULT!

Everywhere we go we will find a girl that is not dressed modestly, some sensual advertisement, or any kind of temptation, and if we sin and lust after it we cannot blame it on it/them, we are not forced to sin by them, we CHOOSE TO SIN!

We have to realize that first of all the one that we are sinning against is towards God, then we have to get things straight with Him.

My precious Mom was teaching me this week of how I can be able to receive the strength, grace, wisdom and intelligence that the Lord wants to give me so that I won’t look the ladies in an inappropriate way. (of course we can use these things in so many other ways, but since we are talking about modesty I'm going to use this application in this matter) So my Mom asked me, how could you my son be able to get all this power from God?

And I LOVE my mom cause she has this amazing ability to ask questions that will keep me thinking over and over and that will make me to go and look for the answer in the Scriptures, praying, or giving up and asking her for the answer =D.

Knowing this, while I was on my quiet time with the Lord, He showed me this:  

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples" (John 15:7-8).

GOODNESS GRACIOUS!! the Lord told me how!

Have you ever had that feeling when you know the Lord is trying to give you something, but you can only see a small part of it so you go and look for it deeper and deeper? It is like you’re watching the part of the treasure above the sand but you cannot get it out unless you bring the proper tools. I was like -“ I see it, I can’t see the whole thing though, but it is right there, let me get a shovel.” So you run backwards and don’t want to take your eyes off the treasure or you might lose it, or to check that no one gets there before you do. That was me right there, so you know how I was feeling.

Ok here I am, hands-on work. First I went to get the part that was above the surface. The first thing that I needed to do was to abide in Him, but that was it the rest was under the sand so I had to jump and start digging to get the treasure out, so I went really quick and looked up the word “abide” it read: Endure without changing while being in the same place, state or condition despite of the circumstances.  

The more I was digging out the more amazed I was. When I was admiring the treasure in my hands God asked me a question, He said –“How good could someone hear or listen to another person when he/she is abiding, or is really close to that person?” Well I thought to myself –“the closer that person is, the better will hear/listen. But if I am abiding it will be like I am part of Him and He is part of me, WOOOOW!   Then it hit me right in the face, by abiding in Him, He is going to give me His words, His grace and His love so that I could use them as guidelines not only on how to act towards ladies but for everything else!

Then I will be able to ask for His grace, wisdom, strength etc. to fight, conquer temptations and HE WILL GRANT IT! and also not to live just as His disciple but as His DEAR SON! 

After finding all this I was laying on my bed all blown away, He said this –“I am not done with you.” (you see, when I say that God says stuff it is not like I can hear His audible voice, this is something deeper, even more personal, it’s like He is talking to my spirit, it is hard to put it in words so our natural brain can understand it, but its amazing all the ways, thoughts and insights that God will use to speak to you. Open your heart cleanse your spirit through His word and ask Him questions, you’ll be blown away. Then share with me what He told you. Hopefully we will talk more about this in another post).

 “If this is what you have to do so I could grant your prayers, what is the reason why I don’t answer most of your prayers?” and again he kept me thinking for a while, why do we ask and not receive? I fell asleep with this amazing feeling inside of all the information I had just received and also trying to understand why we most of the time do not receive. 

The very next morning while doing my devotions I was going through the book of Hebrews, I was supposed to finish it and go on my normal day, but I could not help it and kept reading the book of James. Alter reading the first 3 chapters I was being very blessed, but what I read in chapter 4 almost killed me haha, not quite but it was so accurate to what I was asking God that blew me away!

"When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures" James 4:3.

I do not receive because instead of asking for the good of others and advance God’s Kingdom to earth I just want to indulge and please myself, and most of the times if not all, these are sinful pleasures I want to meet. The Lord was very clear on what He wanted me to focus on. It was no longer me but He in and through me.

Now I knew how to ask to God, first I needed to have the Lord’s Words in me and live according to them, then everything that I’d ask will be according to His Standards, Therefore, if I am abiding in Him and His words in me I no longer will be asking what I wish, it will be actually what He wishes. and it will be done for me and you if you do the same! 

Going back to our fist subject of modesty. I have seen so many families and lives destroyed because the guy that became the father and husband did not conquer lust and put under control his human desires. I am so grateful for the mighty, amazing, strong, wise and PURE, man that the Lord gave to me as my father. He has conquered and forgiven so much that every day of my life I want to be more like him because he is a lot like Jesus (I love you Daddy).

This is why one of the biggest longings of my heart is to live a life of purity and Holiness for God and then (if the Lord wants me to get married) for my wife, That's one of the things that I've been praying about, and I know that the Lord has been answering it so far, because He's been giving me some steps to take.

1^st. We are the ones (not the ladies) that have to be the rescuers, the conquerors!

If we live in purity and in Holiness, then our good behavior towards girls will come naturally.

 I’ve been doing some research about the matter because I do really want to be a rescuer. I know, I know, we also have to take care the way we dress, I'm a skinny guy and sometimes I have problems finding a good shirt size without being too tight or too saggy, my Dad told me that the way I dress should make everybody that looks at me should glorify God not me, so I just get clothes that fit me and that's it.

On my research I've found that we Men and ladies are so different and that we guys are more visual than they are, WAAYY MOOREE! (I'm not excusing the guys or myself, we should dress modestly too, but the ladies don't struggle that much with that, as we do!)

What could we use to compare with a woman dressed in an inappropriate way? For the ladies coud be the "romantic stuff" it is like for us guys to see a woman's body!

If we come dressed very conservative but yet we come talking to a girl about her eyes, about how beautiful she looks in that "non-provocative dress" or that she won’t need anything by being by our side, that we will rescue her from her terrible and sad life and we'll take her to live in a palace. Now let’s pretend that I'm saying this to her with a deep but not so deep nice voice while looking her  at the ayes and ... well you get the point. We are going to end up doing the same as if they were dressing provocatively, they want to feel secure for the rest of their lives.

My dad raised me teaching me all the time to be a gentleman with all the ladies no matter what, once I was having kind of a little fight with my sister and I didn't answer in a good way, and my dad saw the whole thing, he said 

-"Hey champ, I know she has talking so loud and with rude words… but she could be killing you and you should still treat her as a queen!” 

His words are in my heart ever since, but sometimes the line between a gentleman and flirting gets very blurry for some ladies, and guys too!

Once I was talking with a very wise man and he said, 

-"Look Nate,  there's this girl that is saying so many good things about you, and I think she likes you, you are not doing anything wrong but you being a gentleman with her makes her feel special. So, still be nice with her but understand her problem and take the proper steps."

When he was saying that, I was like –“what in the world are these proper steps?”

When I was pondering about it that night the words of my "big sister" came to my mind, “how could we help you guys? By doing or not doing certain stuff?" I was like woooa, I needed to change the way I was being with this lady, because even though I wasn't doing something wrong, the message she was receiving was not the right one. 

Sometimes we need to stop doing stuff or walk away the way my "big sister did" and not to spend time more than necessary with that person, or if we don't even need to spend time with that person, then just don't spend time with that person at all, that simple! There are also conversations that a young man and a young lady can't have. There is a fine line that gets blurry very easily, and there are simple words that we could say that will make any girl get the wrong idea and you can be sure that on the long run we will end up hurting her.

We should not say “I love you” or use that kid of tender/romantic vocabulary because we will get so comfortable saying it that we will be acting in the romantic way to that lady, we will be doing to them something as if a girl was dressed very provocatively in front of us. If we do not want to struggle with our thoughts and actions by being in front of a lady dressed immodestly, we should not talk to a lady in a way that will make her struggle with her thoughts or actions because a we are talking to her immodestly. 

We might not see it, but this is actually a disrespectful behavior to any woman. We are gentlemen, we are kind, but that doesn’t mean we have to act immodestly to any lady. That kind of vocabulary and conversations are only to take place in MARRIAGE otherwise we will be stirring up in her feelings that we are not ready or willing to meet in that moment.

  We men are the conquerors, we are the ones that have to take the first step, not wait for them to do it. WE HAVE TO DO IT!!! If you have been already having conversations like that to a lady, it is a good time right now to MAN UP, Honor God, honor her parents and respect her.

Remember that our responsibility is to do the right thing (even if they are killing us) because it is what the Lord demands form us, and not to blame other person for what we should be doing.

Sometimes they will think that we are being kind of rude, but you know what? I'll rather have her to think that I'm rude and not to think that I was leading her on and then letting her down, or to make her sin in some way, and end up hurting her very bad.

Please don't get me wrong i'm not saying that you should go and punch them or be rude with them, but sometimes when we stop being the way we were, they are going to feel that something is wrong, most of them are going to take it the good way but if one doesn't, keep in mind  that its more important what God says than what ladies or anybody else could say about us, remember that EVERYTHING you do, you do it for God (because He requires that from you), and secondly for the welfare of this lady, not for you!!

We men don't have to "love" them with lust but really love them with the love of God, (lust can't wait to receive, love can wait, even to give).  So we must care/love them and decide to lose our good/gentleman-like reputation before them, than to make them built expectations about us or lust after us in some way.

Ladies that dress modestly are mocked and made fun by other people, but those brave women are in their way to be a Proverbs 31 like woman, if they are doing this for God and for us men, then we can do that for God and as a consequence to them, LETS BECOME MEN AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART!
