Conqering Giants

When I was in Mexico thinking about coming to Chicago, I was expecting to be trained by taking classes and by people telling me how to do stuff or something like that, but guess what?! the Lord's been training me in so much different areas that I've never thought of. One of them happened today!

I usually workout every day and I haven't been able to do so lately, so yesterday we've been talking about those small prayers that the Lord wants us to make to Him so that He can show us that He is really our provider. 

I was asking him to let me get some work out, and He answered me today, let me show you the great cross-fit like workout I had.

            

At first there were this 2 piles (in the right) and I had to move em to the top of the 2 other piles in the left.  In the picture above I had half of one already on the top of the other pile.

  

I finished it and had to move on with the next one.

And this is how the other one looks like, there was a half pile that needed to be done too (the "small" pile on the left bottom corner) Finally I got some workout done, I never thought it was going to be that demanding, but it was worth it. 

God Always Answers

Keep in mind though, that when you ask something to God He will answer you. He says yes, some times He says no, but He ALWAYS answers, and He wont answer you the way you think. I am saying this because I wanted a normal work out at the gym and stuff but he gave me His own kind of work out. 

These are the numbers of the workout I did:

I had to move 106 boxes and each box was 41 pounds light (lol).  If you make the math they were 4,346 pounds that I moved. those piles are almost 10 feet tall and very heavy.

God did not only give me a physical workout, but he also wanted me to work out on my spirit and understand the Insights he gives us every day. If He gets you to do something physical, He will also give you a training for your spirit. God doesn't like to waste time just "working out."

The Lord also used this activity to show me that the giants that I have in my life are bigger and heavier than those piles right there, and these giants are gonna damage my self, and if I get married, my wife and my generations, and will hinder my relationship with God. He wants me to keep fighting and conquer them till the end, to not let any one of them stay alive. 

We see many times in the Scriptures that when the Lord was telling His people to go and fight the enemy, He would tell them to destroy them completely to not let anything of them be kept alive of complete cause He knew that if they wouldn't get rid of it, that thing or person would overcome them and would end up worship their Gods.

When God told Joshua to go and  fight those towns that were before him He told him that He had already given them on Joshua's hands. However, He commanded him to be STRONG and COURAGEOUS. Not to be strong and courageous to go and fight and kill many enemies, He was asking him to be strong and courageous to keep the Law that he had given to Moses and to keep it in front of his eyes for the rest of his life. 

I bet that someone must be so violent, courageous and strong to keep God's commands. I kinda took this Word for me but I felt that God was telling me not just to keep the law of Moses but to keep all Christ's commands. Any idea on how we should be in order to keep Christ's law? Yes of course! we too must be strong and courageous.

He's already Won our battle, just as He did with the battles that Joshua had.


Doom's Day

One day everything was going perfectly but suddenly they lost a battle, do you know why?  

Do you remember what we where saying bout destroying the enemy completely?

But the Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan ... took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel. (Johua 7:1)

Do you remember what we where saying bout destroying the enemy completely? That's what will happen to us if we are longing for what the enemy has, we are gonna end up loosing every time.

Do you want to know what the Lord did to bring victory again?

Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys and sheep, his tent and all that he had, to the Valley of Achor. 25 Joshua said, “Why have you brought this trouble on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.” Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them. 26 Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day.Joshua (1:24-26)

The Lord is so serious and He does mean it when He tells us to get rid and not to look after the things of this world, that after when they burned and stoned this guy and his family they even put stones over him

Read the whole chapter 7 of the book of Joshua (or more chapters if you want) to see what happened

After they have done this, the Lord gave them victory over all their enemies, even Joshua is considered by many war historians and experts as one of the best generals and conquerors of all time, I want you to think about that. God wants men that He could use to be those mighty conquerors in His name.

well i just wanted to share with you all what the Lord was telling me when I was moving those piles, it was hard but it was worth it. To take these giants out will be Hard but it will be SO WORTH IT.

God loves us so much that we were worth the blood of his ONLY son and He wont let anything competing affection to dwell in us.

Pray for The Smallest Thing!

Hey! Happy Sunday.

Today is not very sunny tho but still a beautiful day.
I know I didn't write anything yesterday, but it was just a normal day, ping pong, work out, and a civil war movie, a good relaxing day!

We just got back from church. Today when they asked how many people were there for the first time  I raised my hand and they gave me this amazing pen. The amazing part is that I've been asking to the Lord for a new pen to write in the meetings and stuff and he just answered me today. (BTW sorry for the bad pictures but I'm using pics from my cellphone cause I haven't been able to upload the pics of my camera).

How many times we've said to our selves that we shouldn't pray for this or that because is just too small to bother God with something like this? Today the Lord showed me that He wants me to know that I'm totally dependent of Him, that I should trust that Hes going to meet all the needs that I have, even the smallest ones if I just seek His kingdom first. How awesome is that God can tell you all that stuff through just a simple pen?  

After church Mr G. invited us to stop at Boston market to eat lunch with Him, it was delicious, I mean totalmente riquizimo!!! He told us some riddles and we were trying to figure them out and stuff, we had a great time.

When we were on our way to Church Mr G. was shearing with us Psalm 15 and he was teaching us a few tips to memorize it, they were so helpful!

This passage brought to my mind one day that I was reading the Bible and came across this verse:
4 

One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.


I Knew that this wasn't true in my heart so I asked the Lord to teach me what to do to be in his presence, and guess where he took me? yes to Psalm 15

I'm gonna leave it here for you guys so you can see it

1 Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?

Who may live on your holy mountain?

2 The one whose walk is blameless,

who does what is righteous,

who speaks the truth from their heart;

3 whose tongue utters no slander,

who does no wrong to a neighbor,

but honors those who fear the Lord;

who keeps an oath even when it hurts,

and does not change their mind;

Whoever does these things

will never be shaken

After reading it, the Lord was like "Here you go now you know what tot do!" I was in shock so I turned several pages to try to read an other Psalm and I ended up landing on Psalm 24, WOW!!! I was about to die

Psalm 24

3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?

Who may stand in his holy place?

4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,

who does not trust in an idol

or swear by a false god.

5 They will receive blessing from the Lord

and vindication from God their Savior.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,

who seek your face, God of Jacob. 

Are you serious?!?! I mean come on! How in the world could this happen? Before I was like, "Are you Lord talking to me?" but then I realized that he was slapping me in the face with His Word haha. His Word is there but we will not find His Insights to our lives if we do not seek Him with our whole hearts.

It would be awesome if you guys could be thinking about this and meditate on this awesome passages.

Well I have to go we are getting ready to receive the ladies that are coming from their Journey, looking forward to hear those amazing testimonies of the power of God doing amazing things in their lives.

This is my first blog and I really have no idea what to say right now, but the Lord's blessed me so much that I'm in awe of all that Hes been doing so far. I am gonna leave you with this super cool mummy like box that we made for my Sister +Amy Killian 's amazing, expensive guitar.

Wow and btw Starbucks has been sending us coffee every day for 3 days in a row for free. I mean can there be something better than this? 

 If anybody wants some coffee just come to the mail room and under the table you'll find the boxes with the coffee in it, so please serve yourself.  

  Well gotta get out of here, im going to play volleyball, basketball and of course as a good Mexican i have to play soccer too.

James 1:2-5 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let the perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature complete, not lacking anything. if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.  

I know that many times we thank God for the good thinks he allows to happen in our lives, but have we ever stopped and said thanks for the trials that he allows in our lives? Have we ever considered that He is developing perseverance that we may be maturer in Him and in His Word?

It would be nice if you could think about that!
